Browse Hosts and Items

Use Hosts to inspect inventory, use Host Details as a scoped action hub, and read host-scoped latest values with filtering and chart shortcuts.

Browse hosts first

The Hosts section is the inventory view for the selected server. It gives the operator a way to move from issue-centric work to infrastructure-centric browsing, with controls for:

  • filtering enabled hosts
  • isolating hosts that currently have problems
  • filtering hosts by Zabbix tags where those labels are part of the inventory model
  • grouping by available host structure
  • sorting by name, status, or problem count

This screen is useful when the operator wants to reason from the host outward instead of starting from a problem row.

Hosts list with organization controls

Open Hosts for the selected server and keep organization controls with several visible rows in one frame. If possible, show tag filters or tag chips so this screenshot explains the 0.9.4 inventory filtering workflow before drilling into one host.

Open host details

Host Details is the action hub for one host. It keeps the operator inside the current server context while opening the main host-scoped investigation paths from one place:

  • Items for latest values and chart shortcuts
  • Problems for issue review limited to the selected host
  • Dashboards for host-scoped dashboard reading
  • Graphs for direct graph discovery from the current host

This step should show that the operator can move from a host row into a focused host workspace without losing the current server context.

Host Details

Select a host from Hosts and show Host Details as the focused host workspace. Keep host identity, summary information, and the direct entry points into Items, Problems, Dashboards, and Graphs visible in the same frame.

Move into Items for latest values

The Items section is designed around a selected host. Before reading latest values, the operator chooses a host, then narrows the visible rows with search and filters. From there, TriggerDeck keeps the workflow tight:

  • latest values stay scoped to the chosen host
  • search reduces the row set quickly
  • filters highlight the right subset of values
  • numeric rows can jump directly to charts

Items host picker

Enter Items and open the host picker before reading values. Keep picker options and selection state visible so the page clearly communicates that Items is always scoped to a chosen host.

Items latest values

After selecting the host, show Items with latest-value rows and at least one chart shortcut on a numeric entry. Keep any active search or filter chips visible to explain narrowing and chart drill-down from the same screen.
